MESSAGE FROM OUR GENERAL CHAIRS
YWCA has been a valuable community resource for more than 130 years. While women have made great strides since the early days of YWCA, many continue to seek the support that 21st century women find at YWCA today.
Our services have evolved to meet the current needs of women and are focused on removing barriers and reducing disparities for low-income women and women of color. The underlying goals are still the same: to empower women to become self-reliant, provide for their families, and live happy, healthy and productive lives.
With many new development projects happening in the downtown Worcester area, there has never been a better time to support the long-overdue renovation of YWCA. When the building improvements are completed, YWCA will be able to meet the expanding needs of our community in a more modern and welcoming facility.
We are honored to serve as the General Chairs for the LIVE: leading with integrity & vision for equality Capital Campaign. The strong women of Worcester who came before us worked tirelessly to build and sustain YWCA throughout all of its years. We believe that this project is vital to continuing this legacy of providing women and children a safe place to learn and grow. We ask you to join us in ensuring its success.
Respectfully,
Christie Bik, Sue Mailman, Sue Woodbury
