Designing for the future: YWCA of Central Massachusetts Renovation

Collaboration is underway with the YWCA in Worcester to design renovations that support their strategic goals and vision. The YW has a strong public policy and advocacy agenda focused on providing essential services to women and girls; the renovations will facilitate this through expanded programming, increased quality of offerings, refreshed facilities, and further the organization’s value to the Worcester-area community.

Housed in a 74,000 sf, exemplary historic mid-century modern building, the YWCA offers programs ranging from a childcare center, to transitional housing, to community and women’s programs, as well as health and wellness facilities such as a gymnasium, pool, and fitness rooms.

In addition to our team’s commitment to the empowering mission of the YWCA, we are equally enthusiastic about this project’s relationship to the evolving, greater downtown of Worcester. We have addressed place-making opportunities in several of the state’s historic, Gateway Cities and look forward to helping the YWCA of Central Massachusetts articulate a vibrant presence in downtown Worcester.
